Value Engineering and Design Management
Budgets often constrain well-thought out projects. In these cases, EBI can be called
upon to value engineer or reverse engineer your project during the budget, design,
project selection or execution phases. Value engineering involves alternative equipment
choices, design optimization, alternative project schedules and reduction of scope/
features. Reverse engineering begins having the end in mind. We take the project
plans or statement of work and create a right-sized scope that fits the budget, laying
a foundation plan with additional items to be executed at a later date when funds are
available. In many cases, the base plan can be implemented in a way that permits the
future expansion plans and flexibility is maintained for additions in the future. This
means no extra costs on already installed structures.
